SHORT HISTORY "BAITURRAHMAN MOSQUE-ACEH"

A famous building that becomes an icon of Aceh as Serambi Mekka is it's Mosque,the oldest mosque in Aceh,Indonesia.it has so many stories to tell about it.lets me tell it a bit...
failed on the first agression,Holland did a bigger attact on the leadership of Van Swieten,they were succesfull in getting this Baiturrahman's Mosque.

 Holland hated this building so much,then they burned this building totally under the leadership of  Van Swieten on sixth january 1874.at that time Aceh's formation was leaded by Tuanku Hasyim Banta Muda and tengku imum Lueng Bata failed to save the mosque.
That burning made Aceh's society anggry too deep,and they made fight back to holland,and the felt afraid because could not make the colling down.

To get Aceh's society love ,four years later under the leadership of Van Lansberge said that they will build back Baiturrahman again.and that promise was made real by Mayor Vander as a governor aceh's Military.Holland invited an architect from their own country and the worker from tiongkok.the building started to be built on october ninth 1997.they the building changed totally from the first modeland they aplied europe architectur with a single dome.
after building process finished on 1883 this mosque is rejected,they did not want to use prayer's place because it was built by the enemy,it gone until 10 years,made this area like forest.then,holland always tried in order to they want to receive it,and they succed to give it though Tengku chik keumala and tengku chik krueng kalee,and the mosque was used on 1983.and this mosque also has some renovation years to years.

this mosque became a testier of the biggest disaster called tsunany on december, 26,2004.this mosque also be a part of that event which took more than 250.000 people in aceh.But,finally tsunay ended the war between GAM and indonesia's republic,this process in helsinky,finlandia,on august 15 2005 through MOU (memorandum of understanding)Aceh society so proud and felt happy with this MOU,and Baiturrahman Mosque back to be tastator of this big event.
