Were You Aware of the Arguments Against Historical Existence of Mecca and Prophet Muhammad?

The academic research has lead to a situation where the prophet is similar to Romulus (founder and first king of Rome), King Arthur or Robin Hood. The "sources" are too far removed from Mecca both by geography and time. I never knew about any of that including the lack of contemporary sources. For an example, Romans who disliked Jesus kept records about him. The earliest Christian records were made made by those who lived close enough on the timeline to have witnessed Jesus.

I'm a Buddhist myself and I do not have a horse in this race. I'm sharing this information as I am fascinated by these discrepancies despite the mainstream acceptance. If one feels incredulous after hearing these arguments, I suggest them to take a look at why keyboards are arranged the way they are. It is a relic from 19th century that hurt the user with no real gain for the keyboard. Yet this unhealthy anti human design has been continued even beyond the death of typewriters.
