The real story of courageous Chetak in Indian History
Chetak was the horse of Mewar King Maharana Pratap. During the Battle of Haldighati, Chetak lost his life & saved the life of his owner king Maharana Pratap.
Battle was in between Maharana Pratap and Man Singh, the Commander of the Mughal Army of Akbar who tried to force Maharana Pratap to become part of his empire and obey him, but Akbar failed to do so.Maharana Pratap was agreeable to signing the trade contract with Akbar but was on his own terms and conditions with a view that Mewar would not sacrifice its independence. Akbar got Frustrated and humiliated which caused this Battle
Before this battel and in this battel , a artificial trunk was put on the strong horse chetak's head that covered his face that make enemy elephant to think as another elephant is in front of him.
This helped Maharana Pratap with Chetak reach to the front of Man Singh’s Elephant to threw his Bhala (sphear) towards to which missed Man Singh and hit the driver of elephant.
This strong horse chetak planted his hooves on the forehead of Man Singh’s elephant and push back the elephant, this caused Man sing felt down on battleground.
Chetak got badly injured In spite of that , Chetak decided to take Maharana Pratap safely from the battle ground.Chetak saved Maharana Pratap's life in his critical hours by caring him from Rakt Talai to the other end of Haldighati by jumping across nearby stream of 21feet wide and finally died on his owner`s lap.
Chetak was brave horse and save his owner Maharana Pratap.

This story is again the Udaipur's historic Kings from the same family of Udaipur Singh and Ratan Singh
Yes you are right, In my next blog I will try to show & Expore the interior beauty of City Palace of Udaipur which is amazing.

Looks like you took quite an interest in the whole historical tale behind it or were you aware of it even before visiting this place?
Actually I believe if you are just visiting a place it will give a good sight sean, but if you try to explore the historical tales behind it , it will not just be a good sight sean but you will slightly get attached to it & you feel proud to be the part of the such country with such brave & courageous people.
