1000 Buddha Carvings After The Fall Of Baekje Kingdom By The Former Baekje People

in #history7 years ago (edited)

People of Baekje kingdom never had imagined the fall of their country. As people of the fallen countries’ had suffered difficulties in history, it seemed that Baekje people had suffered the miseries in their lives.

There were several attempts to rebuild their country again. Even Japan had sent the army to revive Baekje Kingdom again, there were fierce battles between Japan and alliance of China and Shilla.

Finally Japan had been defeated near the Back Gang river and the name of Baekje had disappeared into history.

Even the complete collapse of Baekje Kingdom, people of former Baekje Kingdom never had forgotten their loving country.

What I saw in the corner of 2nd floor in the Gongju museum was a sculpture of 1000 Buddha carvings for the health of Baekje Kingdom’s royal family.

Now nobody remember people’s pray for the fallen kingdom.
Do you imagine people's thoughts and feelings of the fallen dynasty

I wish Steemians sympathy the feelings with me.

I can only imagine the effort it took to carve out this masterpiece. The attention to detail around the main Buddha sculpture is also impressive.
