(The Immaculate Conception of the Virgin Mary Parish Church) commonly known as Baclayon Church. One of the Most Beautiful and Historical Church in the Phillipines
(The Immaculate Conception of the Virgin Mary Parish Church) or commonly known as Baclayon Church is located in the Municipality of Baclayon, Bohol, Phillipines, Baclayon Church was founded by the Jesuit priest Juan de Torres and Gabriel Sánchez in 1596, and became the oldest Christian settlement in Bohol.
Inside the church you can see the beautiful paintings in ceiling and you could also see the beautiful architectural designs.
In these picture the Gravestone says that the Church was built under by the late priest Juan De Torres and Gabriel Sanchez (Jesuit Priest) The first Christian Mission in Bohol was November 17, 1596 the first church are made of woods and Tributed to Immaculate Conception of the Virgin Mary and has became a Parish on year 1717. The present Church is
built made of corals on 1727 and after that the Church is Operated by Agustinian Recoletos in year 1768 and they added a Pearl Tabernacle in the first Shrine.
On 1810 The Baptistery was build. On 1852 has make a renovation but the Original Architectural Neo-Classical has remain.
By the order of President on August 1, 1973 that this church is Considered as the Remarkable and Historical Church on July 27, 1994.
