RE: How long have humans REALLY been on Earth?
Damn does Amazon own a rainforest now? They've got their hands on everything these days.
Only kidding buddy.
A few scientists recently have been handing out the theory that octopuses come from "somewhere out there in the cosmos."
My personal opinion is that this planet is probably billions of years old and that we and our current state are not the first civilization to advance very far with technology.
I think it's cyclical.
We advance to the point where we essentially destroy ourselves. We go back to the primitive stages of existence until we become an advanced society again and almost destroy ourselves, and then go back to the primitive stage of existence again.
It's one of those things though that can never really be confirmed.
Cyclical. That is my feeling too. Everything else here works in cycles, so why not?
As pointed out by @ura-soul past life regression is the only way to personally know with any kind of certainty.
It only took a month but I got there in the end! https://steemit.com/conspiracy/@samstonehill/our-ongoing-quest-for-the-origin-of-civilisation-and-the-purpose-of-pyramids
