Does the human race have historical amnesia?

in #history7 years ago

I’m fascinated with our hidden human history or more importantly, the lack of information on it and as to why.
It seems that every major civilization rises to a certain level and then somehow overnight ceases to exist. So what historically has happened to us and why, but even more importantly – are we destined for the same thing? I for one believe it has been purposely hidden from us and that someone, somewhere does know or at the very least has a much broader understanding of our history than the much debated mainstream narratives.

The Sumerians, the Egyptians and the Aztecs to name but a few seemed to have vast swathes of knowledge on everything ranging from our Spiritual self’s, to science, nature and much much more. Further when considering the preceding civilizations such as the mythological Atlantean’s, which while being largely written off as fiction the city of Atlantis has in fact been written about by the likes of Plato who indeed gives us the oldest written accounts known to date of where this city resided and the technologies that abounded within this civilization. While his writings on Atlantis have been labelled as allegorical there is much evidence to suggest this is not indeed the case.

How is it that the Sumerians, Egyptians and Aztecs with supreme accuracy incorporate our solar system into their ancient carvings? A massive quandary given that our current understanding and confirmation of our own planetary neighborhood has really only just been mapped out and verified accurately in the last couple of hundred years due to the advancements in our technology such as telescopes and satellites that has allowed it, let alone the pinpoint accuracy of the planetary alignments mapped out by the Aztecs and the Mayans – These supposed primitive races weren’t indeed primitive at all, far from it as can be witnessed in our inability in a modern age to recreate such megastructures as they built themselves. We’ve tried time and again out of curiosity and we’ve failed as we don’t hold the knowledge or the technology that they once did.

Aside from the knowledge and technology they acquired which has now largely been lost or suppressed, what I want to know is what happened to them all? Where did they go and why did they abandon their ancient megalithic temples and cities? What caused these ancient civilizations to cease to exist in near overnight fashion and why don’t we have any accurate accounts of this information by way of carvings, paintings etc or is there something that amongst the ancient ruins left behind we are missing?

Additionally – How did we, the modern human being get here so quickly? When looking even further back modern science reportedly teaches ( and argues amongst itself ) that our oldest known ancestor – Australopithecus was here between approximately 4 million years and one million years ago, Homo Habilis between 2.8 million and 1.5 million years ago, Homo Erectus between 2 million years and 300,000 years ago with a step to the Neanderthal somewhere in between however the modern human being has only existed between the last 180’000 and 130’000 years.. How is it we have made such a rapid evolutionary leap when our distant cousins took an average of one million years at a time each to make the jump..?

I’m a firm believer that by understanding our past we can gain a glimpse into our future. As has been proven time and again, history does indeed repeat itself particularly within the likes of human nature and also with nature herself. It can be seen through our geology, carbon dating etc that every now and again Mother Nature has a Hissy-Fit and upsets the balance of progression of we – the human species. Whether it be by volcano, meteor impact, pole shift or one of many other possibilities is it our mother earth - Gaia that decides when she has had enough of our meddling and resets in one fashion or another so as to bring about the periodic balance required to heal herself?

Is this where our history has gone? One only has to dumb things down to realise that one of the natural basic systems of earth is recycling – mother nature does it beautifully and better than we humans could ever hope to and as such her ability to wipe out a civilisation overnight such as Pompeii. Is this what has happened to all that came before us?
I for one have an unquenchable desire to know what has happened in our history and am open to any information anyone may have to assist me within this quest.
