Historian Kim Wagner sat on an office in London in 2014, and was sitting in an office in Milan. He got an e-mail from a couple. It was written, they have a skull.
The teacher in London's Queen Mary University's history said that the couple had written to him that they were not comfortable with their skulls in their home. You can not understand what to do about it. The lower part of the skull was not part of the jaw and teeth. The old skull is getting dark-brown color. But another aspect of the skull is that, a note in his eye coat. Handwritten note is the history of the skull.

According to the note, Khuli Havildar Alam Beg. He was in the Infantry Force of 46 Bengal Regiment. With some members of the regiment he was blown off with a cannon. One of the main leaders of the Espy Mutiny of 1857 and was the most cruel. He took the position along with a group of soldiers on the road to the castle. All Europeans in the fort were running for safety. That party said. Graham, Mr. Hunter's family was brutally killed. 32-year-old Alam Beg, who was 5 feet 7 inches high, was well-off.
Later, the skull took Captain Castillo to Britain. He was in charge while hanging Alam Beg.
It is clear from the note that Alam Beg was one of the espy rebels, who worked in the Bengal Regiment. In 1858, the British whipped some rebels, including Alam Beg in the Shallot, in front of the cannons. Later, the skull was taken to England. Though there were many things in the note, why did Alam Beg, who was brutally murdered, did not mention anything about it. That is, there is nothing written about espy rebellion.

Espy rebellion is said to be India's first independence war. One of the army's insurrection against the British East India Company, this espy revolt of 1857 The army revolted when Begun was circulated as a fat cartridge of the forbidden animal. Since the independence of India in 1947, the British ruled India in 200 years.
The Essex couple Alam Beg did not find much work on the internet, but she did not get much. Later, they came in contact with Wagner as historian. They said they had inherited the skull from a relative. In 1963, he bought his relative, 'The Lord Claude', a bar. There was a small room in the old room in the old box in the old building. No one can say that how the skull went there. In 1963, the matter of the Hulas was reported to local media, and the pictures of the owner of the percale were printed. At that time the skull was displayed in the water table. But after the owners of that water house died, the ownership was transferred to the relatives. Later, the skull was hidden.
After getting the skull, Wagner has to verify whether he has a real connection to the history. Because, Athena, the author of the letter lying inside the skull, is unknown. The skull was examined in London's Natural History Museum. It is seen in the mid-19th century that a young man in Asia,

The big challenge for Wagner was to get the link out of the incident. He started research on speed. Attract the archives of India and the United Kingdom. Shallot went to work to find forgotten history. In July 1857, Veg took part in the Battle of Tritium Gnat in Shallot. He was defeated and detained by General Nicholson in the four-day war.
In addition to all the results Wagner wrote a book titled 'The School of Alam Beg'. Yasmin Khan, associate professor of Oxford University History, said that the book is like a detective novel. But British governance and colonial violence will play an important role in understanding. '
Wagner said his book is the story of life and death of Alam Beg through some dramatic chapter in British India. Talk about humanity and dignity to him. Hopefully, 160 years later, Alam Beg has been working for peace for the first time.
Along with Wagner, Alam Beg can also be known as Alim Vega. He is the Sunni Muslim of North India. The Bengal Regiment was formed in present-day Uttar Pradesh's Kanpur. Beg joined the regiment from that region. He used to work in the regiment's camp guard, carrying letters. After the rebellion in July 1857, he started a war against the British army. He continued to revolt until one year of capture and execution.
Captain Castello was present at the time of the death sentence. His full name is Robert George Costello. He brought the bulging skull in Britain. He was born in Ireland and was sent to India in 1857. After 10 months, he stepped down from the post and returned to Southampton from India in steamer in October 1858.
Wagner said that the ultimate goal of his research is to return the speed to the countryside if possible. But no one has claimed the skull yet. He spoke to the Indian Embassy and Indian organization.
Alam Beg is buried with dignity in the future, that is what Wagner wants. He said that it would be better to bury him on the Ravi river island at the border of India. There the rebels took shelter at the end of the first day of war. However, he refuses to make his own decision about this.
Wagner says whatever happens, the last chapter of the story of Alam Beg is still left to write.
