Great story! I enjoy reading about historical mysteries. My extended family also lost a relative in a plane disappearance in South America, that one in WW2. Hope you learn more.
Interesting we have that in common...! Was the plane ever located? That was quite a long time ago even compared to this one in 69'. Although, perhaps one similarity might be that both planes were WWII vintage.
