I present another piece of my land Colombia
The Basilica Santuario de Las Lajas
The Sanctuary of Our Lady of Las Lajas is a temple and basilica for the Catholic worship and veneration of Our Lady of Las Lajas located in Ipiales, southern Colombia and is a destination for pilgrimage and tourism since the century XVIII
Colombia has many places to spend with the family, wonders of architecture places that should not be hidden from the world, places that every human being has to visit
The church itself is architecturally mind-blowing because of its late Gothic style. If we add that it is located in the canyon of the river Guaítara, in the south of Colombia, built on a bridge that crosses the river, and that its height from its base to the tower is 100 meters, we also speak of a sanctuary Which adds to our collection of incredible places. The Basilica Sanctuary of Las Lajas is from the XVIII century a tourist attraction and destination of pilgrimage among the most curious of South America.
The current building, built at the beginning of the 20th century, replaced a chapel dating from the 18th century and is a church of gray and white stone Neogothic style, in imitation of the Gothic of the fourteenth century, composed of three naves built on a bridge of two Arches that crosses over the river and that makes atrium or square of the basilica joining it with the other side of the canyon. The height of the temple, from its base to the tower is 100 meters, and the bridge is 50 meters high by 17 meters wide and 20 meters long.
The main building measures 27.50 m. Of background for l5 m. Wide. Inside, the three naves are covered with ribbed vaults. It has mosaics in fiberglass and in the day, its illumination is given by the light filtered by the windows made by the Italian Walter Wolf. The bottom or apse of the three naves is the natural stone wall of the canyon and in the central nave stands the image of the Virgin of the Rosary painted by an unknown author on a stone slab. The basement of the temple proper, in addition to the two arches of the bridge, is a Romanesque crypt, three naves covered with canyon vaults with a stone structure and dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
In the exterior stand three towers that end in needles decorated with clumps and fronds; Windows, rosettes, buttresses, buttresses and pinnacles.

I had no idea there was a cathedral like this in Columbia. The only things we hear about from your country are drugs and rebels. Thanks for posting this.
