The diary game. A Long Day of Apple Harvesting, Unloading, and Late-Night Rest

in Hindwhale Community9 days ago

Hello, dear friends! How is everyone doing? I hope you are all well and enjoying your time with your loved ones, no matter where you are. Today, I want to share another day of my life with you all. I hope you find some time to read my post and that you find it enjoyable enough to upvote.

I got up very early in the morning as I had some assignments in mind and needed to spare a lot of time to accomplish them. After getting up, I purified myself for the morning prayers and went to the nearby mosque to offer them, starting my day by expressing gratitude to the Almighty and asking for His blessings.

Once I was done with the prayers, I returned home and straightaway got into some gardening work, as I usually do. I’m always happy doing this, being enthusiastic about gardening and maintaining the aesthetics of any place I go. I watered the lawn, looked for any weeds that needed to be removed, and finally placed different plants in appropriate spots.

Before doing anything else, I went for a walk toward another part of the village, which offers a beautiful landscape and terrain—something deeply cherished by someone born and brought up here. Again, I visited our own orchard to check on the apples and also to get in some exercise.

After breaking a good sweat, I returned home and, after taking a short rest, had a hot shower and joined my parents in the dining room for breakfast.

Today, we had to visit an assistant orchard located about 10 km from our place, where we needed to harvest apples. We had hired a few labourers, and some of them had to be picked up on the way. We left along with all the necessary materials, like plastic baskets and other containers that help carry apples from one spot to another within the orchard.

After finishing the afternoon prayer at 1:30 PM, we had the lunch we had taken with us.

It was very late in the day, around 6 PM, when we left for our place. Meanwhile, we had to drop off all the items we had used at the residence of a villager who lives right next to the orchard. We safely stored everything there, as we would need them again the next day. Carrying these items back home always turns out to be a tedious job, so we usually leave them with this nearby household, which keeps a close watch on the orchard and helps prevent any mishaps.

After reaching home, I took some rest, as I was already quite tired. A little later, my mother served me tea. Later in the evening, I helped my brother unload a vehicle. The carton boxes, which are required by apple growers to pack their apples, had arrived at our shop and needed to be unloaded as quickly as possible.

It was only around 11:30 PM when we finished the job. As dinner time approached, our driver was invited to join us, but he declined and left. It was around 11:50 PM when I finally went to sleep.

Thank you for going through my post. Have a great time ahead.
