Hiking at nature reserve Bourgoyen-Ossemeersen
Here in Belgium it's icy but sunny weather. We decided to challenge the ice cold wind and go for a hike at nature reserve Bourgoyen-Ossemeersen, an important wintering area for water birds just outside the city of Ghent.
The nature reserve covers 230 hectares and consists of flooded land with canals and ditches. The water is slowly changing in ice and in combination with the sun if gave some beautiful views.

Even with the winter still in the country, the first flowers are announcing that spring is not far away.
I miss spring when I see these flowers! Especially when it's very cold in Finland right now!
The countdown has started, we are over halfway winter. However I guess spring takes a bit longer to get into the country so high up north? How cold is very cold over there?
Yep it does! Spring starts around April/May, but it's still quite cold then. Well, I live in Southern Finland and it has been between -5 and -18 celsius this week.
It seems to me that you had an amazing time there = ) To be honest, who wouldn't enjoy hiking and looking at the beauty of Belgium. The viewers are dope and even though the weather is cold I'm sure its still worth it to go hiking.

It looks so warm there! It's -19C today in Finland. Beautiful but cold. :)
