Dimorphanthus, also called kalopanax, is a rare, ornamental tree. It's on Russia's Red Book list as an endangered species. These trees live up to 200 years. You can find them in mixed forests of the Far East. Other names for it are Kalopanax seven-lobed and white walnut.

The tree's wood is white or golden and good for woodworking. It's stronger than ash and has unique patterns. People use it for gun stocks, instruments, and flooring. Because it's protected, logging the tree is illegal in Russia.

Dimorphanthus is great for honey production. A bee colony can gather 3.5 kg of honey each day when the tree flowers. The honey is light and smells good.

You can get green dye from the fruit. Cattle, deer, and roe deer eat its leaves. Young leaves are a spice in Asian food.

Many parts of the tree are used in medicine. Branch and root bark relieve pain and loosen mucus. Bark extract in pill form helps digestion by increasing stomach acid. The extract also acts as a stimulant. Leaves help heal infected wounds. Almost all parts of the plant are used to treat cancer.
