@pvpdarkrising, I have been using Steemit since June 2017. I still use other social media sites to connect with friends and family, but Steemit is my preferred blogging platform.

There are a few keys to earning on Steemit:

1. Create quality content
2. Curate other peoples' content
3. Comment on other people's content

When you do any or all of this activities well, then you will receive upvotes.

You will not be able to earn unless you develop relationships with other people. I recommend focusing on that first before you think about earning money.
