ibaloi

Ibaloi literally means the "people of the houses". They live in the grasslands of Benguet, a province in the Cordillera region. Ibalois comprises the two thirds of Benguet. They share the place together with co-igorot tribe, the Kankana-eys. Though these two tribes share the same place their language is different.

Ibalois rely mostly in farming and livestock. They are good farmers. Compared to other tribes they are more clothed mainly because of the cold weather in Benguet. These are highly literate people but still living the legacy of their ancestors beliefs.However, through modernization may these tribe not forget their tribal heritage. Among the igorots, this is the tribe being mostly affected by modernization probably because Baguio City, is also located in their land.
