Different Types of Jet Heaters

in #heaterlast month (edited)

With the gradual cooling of the air, the need for heating equipment and bringing the ambient temperature to the desired level becomes important. One of the most popular heating devices is the jet heater. Generally, a jet heater is a type of industrial heater used in greenhouses, chicken farms, sheds, and large halls. Jet heaters are of the axial fan type with a propeller in the tube, and they blow hot air into the environment.

One of the most important factors in choosing and purchasing a jet heater is the device’s power (in kilocalories), area (in square meters), and the type of available fuel. In this article, we will explore the types of jet heaters and their applications; so stay with us for more information.

Based on the output of pollutants, jet heaters are divided into two models: with a chimney and without a chimney. According to the type of fuel, they are divided into four models: electric, gas, diesel, and dual fuel, which are used according to the environment. In the rest of the article, we will examine each of these models.

Electric Jet Heater

Electric jet heaters are among the most practical types of jet heaters. The energy required for this heater is provided by three-phase municipal electricity.

The electric jet heater is equipped with an internal fan so that the heat generated by the elements is blown forward, allowing for uniform heat distribution in the environment.

The electric jet heater is not suitable for large halls due to high electricity consumption and is mostly used in spaces such as warehouses, stores, and industrial halls.

Gas Jet Heaters

The gas heater is one of the best-selling jet heater models due to lower pollutant production. This jet heater model can be installed and used in industrial halls, greenhouses, livestock farms, poultry farms, and construction projects that have natural airflow.

This model can use both natural gas (NG) and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG). The thermal efficiency of the gas jet heater is high, and its fuel consumption can be adjusted by an electric valve. This device has a low-noise axial fan and can adapt to changes in the gas pressure of its system, preventing incomplete combustion.

If you want to use a gas jet heater with liquid gas fuel, you must pay attention to the required gas flow rate and ensure that the liquid gas does not freeze at the outlet of the storage tank (or gas capsules).

Diesel Jet Heater

A diesel jet heater is another type of jet heater that uses diesel to produce heat. Because it emits more pollutants into the environment, this type of jet produces more pollution, and its use is not recommended in greenhouses, even in models with chimneys.

Double-Burner Jet Heater

A dual fuel jet heater is a combination of gas and diesel jet heaters that can operate with city gas or diesel fuel. The dual fuel jet heater has many applications in areas that face pressure drops, shortages, or temporary interruptions of municipal gas. Compared to other jet heaters, this heater has a higher price and is available in different capacities in the market.

Jet Heater with Chimney

One of the most widely used types of jet heaters is the chimney jet heater. Because this model has a chimney, toxic gases and smoke from combustion are directed outside, preventing pollution of the environment with carbon dioxide.

The chimneyed jet heater is useful for spaces with a closed environment that lack proper ventilation, such as industrial workshops, production units, greenhouses, livestock farms, poultry farms, mushroom breeding halls, etc.

Jet Heater without Chimney

In a jet heater without a chimney, due to the open combustion chamber, the flame resulting from fuel use enters the environment directly. Therefore, the use of jet heaters without a chimney is recommended for environments that have a proper ventilation system and free airflow.

The most important advantage of jet heaters without a chimney is their high thermal efficiency because all the heat produced by the fan heater is directed into the space, resulting in less energy waste. For this reason, the jet heater without a chimney is suitable for outdoor environments that require rapid heating.
