Worshiping in the midst of the storm brings peace to the soul and brings you closer to its presence.
Hello my friends and brothers of Steemit, God fill you with all spiritual blessings in the name of your son Jesus Christ.
In this hour I want to reflect on what we should do in the midst of trial and pain, when we feel in the midst of a great storm, and we believe that we are drowning in the midst of trouble.
God's word teaches us:
And when he was entered into a ship, his disciples followed him. And, behold, there arose a great tempest in the sea, insomuch that the ship was covered with the waves: but he was asleep. And his disciples came to him, and awoke him, saying, Lord, save us: we perish. And he saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm. But the men marvelled, saying, What manner of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey him! Matthew 8:23-27
Let us reflect:
1) Jesus was in the boat with his disciples: The disciples were not alone in the sea, they were not alone in the storm, they were not alone in the midst of the storm that was threatening their lives.
2) Fear overtook them: When the disciples saw that the waves were entering, at boat and threatened to sink it, they were afraid of perishing in the middle of the storm and the sea.
3) They woke up the Master and begged for his help: His disciples, when they were in danger, cried out and woke up our Lord Jesus Christ saying: Lord, save us, we perish!
4) Men of little faith: When Jesus our Lord said to them: Why do you fear, you men of little faith? and he rose and rebuked the winds and the sea and there was a great calm, that is, immediately the storm ceased, the waves calmed down, because the King of Kings had given the order to stop the storm, and the storm had to obey the order of him to whom all things are subject. That is our beloved Savior Jesus Christ.
5) And the men were astonished: They were all astonished to see the great work, the great miracle that Jesus had just performed before their eyes, that they asked each other: What man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey him?
The disciples were facing a true storm at sea, which threatened their life. Today the problems, the difficulties we go through on a daily basis, can be seen as a great storm, as a great storm that threatens our security, trust, and peace.
And although for a moment fear wants to blind us, and wants to extinguish our hope, and doubt wants to kill our faith, let us remember that Jesus is in our boat, and if Jesus is in our boat, that is to say in our life, nothing can face us because it is Jesus who goes before to defend, to help, to raise, so cry out in faith, ask for his help and he will give you the strength to continue walking in his presence, remember his promise of love: And behold, I am with you all the days until the end of the world, Amen.
So if we are facing any storm in our lives, let's take our eyes off the problem, the difficulty, the adversity, let's take our eyes off everything that wants to extinguish our hope and steal our faith and we are going to set our sights on the author and finisher of the Faith, that is our Lord Jesus Christ.
Sing, adore, that our thoughts are full of praise to our God, express your love for our Most High God with songs, with poems, that affliction and storms do not take you away from the privilege of worshiping God, remember that if God is in control of your life, everything will help you well, because it is his love that sustains you, so adore in the midst of trouble, sing in the midst of adversity, in the midst of pain shout Glory to God! let nothing, absolutely nothing, silence your praise to Jehovah. Worship and your faith will be strengthened and your fears and doubts will vanish. Because you have put your trust in him who fails never God.
I will call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies. Psalm 18:3
Even in the midst of pain, our God is still God, he is still Sovereign, he is still Faithful, he continues to act in favor of his children, so trust, invoke his Name and adore at all times because only He is worthy. Hallelujah!.
