What do you know about this Doctors Without Borders initiative?

 

I have heard about this organisation as “Médecins Sans Frontières” or “Doctors without borders” in 1996 that time I was working in a private medical service company called “SOS International” and we provided medical help for the remote rigs exploration fields. While working in far away little village we came across other colleagues doctors who were from this organisation “Médecins Sans Frontières” and we had a good chat. The colleagues were working for the project that was providing help with investigation and vaccination work against tuberculosis. I also found that this organisation was quite old, established in 1971 and French origin. It is non-profitable medical care and help organisation.

 

What do you think about this type of service?

 

From what I saw it was a big project and help to get investigations using their resources, I was very grateful for them and for their great job that they provided without asking anything back. The employees who were there, had been for more than one months on that area and were living in a simple little apartment, they even did not have much money for their job but they were happy to see the happy faces of simple people.

 

If you had the opportunity to volunteer to help the most vulnerable populations, I would do it.

 

I did such job when I was young and that was few years after University, I believe everyone should try to do something like that. Just to be able to give what we have our knowledge, compassion, our warmth to those who live in time of war, natural catastrophe and just to save children. We all will have different view and we will value what we have more. I believe everyone will get something valuable for their life.

 

What is the service and how can we support it from our position?

 

Many people can support he work of those dedicated and hard working people with little contribution and donation. Some people donate every month and if there are many people will do the same then there will be enough resources to bring better help to the countries and places that need them.
