RE: Health War: Think Twice About Tonsil, Adenoid Removal
I had only my gall bladder removed, but it wasn't done to prevent future incidents of anything. It was full of stones and badly infected and inflamed. I had never had surgery before and was scared of being put under general anesthesia. The pain of the gall bladder became so bad, I decided I was more afraid of not dying than I was of dying.
As a child I used to get ear infections and strep throat frequently. The doctor wanted to take my tonsils out and said if I got strep once more we were taking them out. I never got it again!
