I agree with you. I feel that people need to also take responsibility in finding information to direct their choices. As you mentioned the questionable reliability of info given to patients, people really need to make sure that what is being done is really the best. The responsibility definitely doesn't lie solely on the HCPs.
And the fake studies are really a scary thing that is rising up. We all need discernment in every situation...
Sadly, there are still many who rest everything with their practitioners, nor want to get involved in the decision-making.
Learning of the presence of fake studies was very alarming. Discernment needs time too so we need to be diligent. Your research was very thorough.
