Why Do I Need to Move my Body?

in #health7 years ago

What do you love the most? And Why?

Asking these questions forces us to go deep and discover our drivers why we get up in the morning!

For me Movement, Health and living a conscious Life are the main pillars of my Life, which I am crazy about

I Love all forms of Movement, but in this phase I am just obsessed with Bodyweight Training, especially the Handstands!

But also L- and V- sits, ring work and other types of Bodyweight Movement ;)

WHY do I do it?

Well, very simple for me. I tried Life without Movement and got kinda crazy. Really! I got mad at people and things that should never bother me! My Emotions got more out of control and I generally felt not satisfied or fulfilled.

I realized that Movement is and will be a major part of my Life, but not just for fun, but mainly to stay balanced in Life between mental and physical activity.

See, in this Day ´n Age we are really heady, meaning always thinking and typing stuff.
While doing that we forget our body, we loose the sense of it and at some point it will wake us the f*** up and we find ourselves with many health problems (physically and mentally).

We need to maintain Balance with our BODY. We need to Move and Feel it!!

We all need Movement, in one or another form. Some are ok with one or two sessions a week, some, like me, need it daily.

Since I am trying to build a Health and Movement Community I would really like to know your thoughts on this topic:

  • Do you Move your body?
  • Why do you do it?
  • Whats your preferred Movement Practice? (could be even walking daily)

I appreciate any kind of comment or participation

Have a healthy and fulfilled Day!

Blessings

I move my body, because the only place there I live as a person, is my body.

you´re absolutely right brother. Appreciate your comment. Yeah, its insane to neglect the vessel of our life experience and only live in the head...

I move because I enjoy the thrill of learning new moves with my body and for the stress relief and balance it brings to other parts of life. It's a way of unplugging and a form of self-love. My journey with bodyweight training, movement and mobility just begun and I'm loving it thus far. Mixing them with strength training for the hormonal benefits.

It's crazy how profound the mental shift is to switch the motivation behind moving from getting to some goal physique to developing a healthy, functional body. Actually enjoying movement, learning new moves and developing mobility and flexibility is so rewarding.

And the funny thing is that the good looking physique develops on the side as a bonus!

Hey man, really glad that you commented on the post. When seeing your posts and reading your comment the resonation is huge! Great that we connected. The mental shift that you mentioned is very important to support a development from aesthetics to functionality and exploration rather than just following a set, fixed plan. This will reflect in mental and overall health. I´m also low carb since 7 months and things going great. For how long are you doing LC? Lets stay connected, till soon
