Dangerous outbreak of E. coli

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) 265,000 people suffering from E. coli infections each year in the U.S. Recently, E.coli contaminated romaine lettuce causes an outbreak of illness across 19 states in USA. Total 84 people becomes sick due to E.coli contaminated romaine lettuce.

The most dangerous part is that according to CDC 42 people has been hospitalized and 9 of them developed kidney diseases. the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and Food and Drug administration are looking for the possible sources of this E.coli contamination.

CDC urges people not to eat any romaine lettuce until it is identified. E.coli is a bacterium which releases shiga toxin that are responsible for chronic diseases like kidney failure. Shiga toxin contaminations include Vomiting and severe Diarrhoea.

It is a good decision not to take Romaine Lettuce until FDA and CDC find out the actual sources of this contamination. Stay Healthy and Stay safe.
