How to heal dry lips?
We can all agree that dry lips are really annoying.
Let's find out what are the main causes of chapped lips:
Extreme exposure: Our lips are thin and delicate, extreme weather such as dry air and sun exposure can easily result in cracked lips. Nowadays, people can also get dry lips by spending long hours in air-conditioning room. Arrange more outdoor activities in the early morning or late afternoon when the sun is less strong.
Adverse reaction to lip products: Commercial toothpaste, mouth wash and lip balm can be packed with irritating ingredients such as flavoring, fragrance and preservatives. For example, menthol-rich ingredient such as peppermint and spearmint can be irritating to delicate lip skin. Try to source unscented, preservative-free lip products.
Nutrient deficiency: Dry lips could be a sign of low levels of iron, zinc and vitamins. Adjust your diet to a well-balanced one with more vegetables, fruits, red meat, beans and whole grain.
Avocado Olive Lip Balm
At this point, you probably think whatever I said is bias. But, let's not draw a conclusion before you hear what my customer said about the lip balm!
"I bought your avocado olive lip balm previously and I like it so much!!!! I have sensitive lips and sometimes will feel itchy and drying. I used to have serious chapped lips. After using your lip balm, it really moisturize my lips" - Y. Sam
What's special about Native Body & Skin's Avocado Olive Lip Balm?
Unscented formula: Fragrances are usually the culprit of sensitive lips. By eliminating this ingredient completely, I have created a lip product that's a lot gentler than their scented counterparts.
Made of nutritious avocado and olive oil: When I say they contain avocado and olive oil, I don't mean they contain 0.5% to 1% for claiming purpose. These two precious oil made up more than 50% of the lip balm content! This is uncommon for commercial lip products!
Contain natural beeswax: A lot of lip balm out there contain paraffin wax, which is derived from petroleum. I opt for the natural alternative - beeswax. Beeswax creates barrier on the lips and helps to seal moisture into the skin.
In case you are interested to get one, I also accept Steem as payment.
Good product and very useful information to care for my lips. I'll let me sister know about the balm since I prefer a paste texture. Thanks for sharing this!
