A few facts about HPV and Gardisal
This is just a little note in response to an article written by @ropaga about the HPV virus and vaccination.
I am all for freedom of choice when it comes to vaccinations, but i believe that people need to be made aware of the facts, completely, before making the decision.
Below, is a copy of my reply to @ropaga on his actual post. It is just a FEW facts about HPV.
Did you know??
Did you know that 90% of HPV infections correct themselves, without treatment, with in a 2 year period?
Did you know that Gardisal has only been proven to be effective for 5 years? (Yet, they're giving it to kids as young as 11)
Did you know that the Gardisal vaccination includes both aluminum and polysorbate 80?
Did you know that the American College of Paediatritians put out a paper regarding thier concerns for the HPV vaccine and it causing ovarian disfunction in young girls?
Did you know that the doctor who helped design and carry out phase II and III safety and effectiveness studies to get Gardisal aproved, has now spoken out agaisnt its safety?
Did you know that Gardisal has been associated with as many serious adverse reactions as there are deaths from cervical cancer developing each year?
Did you know that Gardisal only prevents cervical cancer caused by 2 types of HPV? (Type 16 and 18)
It does not protect against uterus cancer.
Did you know there where 40 deaths from Gardisal just from the trail studies alone?
As well as another 258 serious adverse reactions? (Study total of just over 29,000 people)
And all of this is just the tip of the iceberg for this vaccine!
This is a quite interesting debate and I hope more people will join us.

Below is a copy of my reply to @mel.jai about the facts about HPV he mentioned:
Yes, I know that most of the HPV infections does not cause any symptom. But a minor risk of cancer should be avoided too if possible.
There are not enough long-term studies available to find the time limit of the immunity. According to CDC, immunity last for at least 8 or 9 years. According to theoric models, immunity will last 12 years and 32 years for 50% of vaccinees.

Polysorbate 80 is commonly used in foods (for example ice creams) No adverse effects of consuming this substance, except for extremely high doses, has been found. A 2008 study in pregnant rats, with a dose equivalent to 1300g/day for a human of 70kg, only found a significant but no dangerous decrease in weight in the mother.

Aluminum is proved to increase the immunity response to most virus, so it helps at making the vaccines more effective. It has been used in vaccines for more than 60 years, and the dose received is much lower than received from the diet.

I do not care about what any scientist or group of scientist says. Show me the studies about that concerns and then I will be able to give my opinion about that.
Yes, I know that Gardasil only protects against two types of HPV, those that are the main cause of cancer. However there are other vaccines available with protects against more types of HPV. I have told that in my article, seems like you already had an opinion and do not care about my arguments.
So in conclusion yes, I am convinced that it has very low risk of side effects. Show the studies you mention to me and after reading them my opinion may change.
