Vitamin C
Hello people!! This is my first post. I spend my leisure time reading articles related to healthy food or technology.
Today lets see some interesting things about Vitamin C.
It is water soluble vitamin, contrast to fat soluble vitamins.
Meaning we need to take adequate amounts of vitamin C daily, as is it is not stored in body fats for future use.It is powerful anti oxidant and Research indicates that vitamin C may help protect against a variety of cancers by combating free radicals.
It helps in improving the immunity of the body(improved WBCs) and helps in maintaining good skin, bones, tissues.
Vitamin C Deficiency:
- Deficiency symptoms include fatigue, muscle weakness, joint and muscle aches, bleeding gums, and leg rashes.
Vitamin C Sources:
- Guava (100 grams gives around 275% of DailyValue)
- Kiwi (100grams gives 150% Daily Value)
- Orange(100 grams gives 88% Daily Value)
- Strawberry(100 grams gives 97% Daily Value)

- Others include apple, honeydew,broccoli,lemons.
