Three Little Eggs

Ingested Daily

Contrary to the old belief that eggs contain cholesterol so it was bad for your heart and arteries, new research has found they are one of the superfoods we can readily access. In fact they do not add to your cholesterol, they just replace what has been lost.

Eggs have many benefits with the whites having excellent proteins and the yolks containing vitamins and minerals necessary for cell regeneration and maintenance.

Iron

The consumption of eggs can improve your performance as they contain the needed iron to fight fatigue and irritability, as well as fortify your immune system. Iron also serves to carry oxygen within the blood and also helps to charge up the metabolism.

On a Diet?

They improve the amounts and quality of the nutrients that the body needs for proper function and maintenance. Studies have shown that people who do not eat eggs have are typically deficient in B-12, E and A, these are important vitamins for health maintenance and regeneration.

And even though the yolks contain cholesterol, they do not harm the system... they actually contain proteins that help in the weight loss programs.

And if that isn't enough, the satiety is at a higher level than cereals so you are not always hungry shortly after breakfast.

Brain Function

Nutrients, vitamins and proteins in eggs promote the health of the brain as the yolks contain choline (28% daily need for each egg), which is a nutrient that serves to promote brain development at all ages from infancy to old age. In fact, eggs are sometimes called “The brain food” because they supply high amounts of Choline, which aids memory and helps pregnant women regain what is being channeled to the fetus.

Eyes

They help protect the eyesight and prevent cataracts as they ward off retinal degeneration because they contain antioxidents and two carotenoids; lutein (pronounced loo-teen) and zeaxanthin (pronounced zee-uh-zan-thin). These are actually antioxidants that are located in the eye that reduce the risk of chronic eye diseases, including AMD and cataracts.

These carotenoids also help to improve sunlight (UV) protection as well as improving night vision.

DNA and Nerve Function

Choline helps in the process of methylation, which is used in the develpment or creation of DNA, for nerve signaling, and for detoxification. It’s also vital for the proper functioning of a key neurotransmitter called acetylcholine. This helps the nerves to communicate and muscles to move, acting as an anti-aging neurotransmitter to boot!

Building Block

Eggs are basically a perfect food and when you think about it, they beget life and contain all that is needed for the beginning of that life... so why not in building and maintaining it.

The protein contained in eggs is the best to repair body tissues... containing the best in amount and quality.

The calcium in the eggs is absorbed at a very high level and will help in preventing osteoporosis as well as promoting healthier hair and nails.

PS I ain't a Doctor so seek real medical advise before pounding down those eggs!

Yeah, eggs are great. A while ago I saw an old lady (over hundred) talking about eating every morning a row egg, what apparantly kept her healthy for so long.
However if you see the bigger picture:
In Europe are currently breed two kind of chickens, one for eggs and the other for meat production. For the last one will be used male and female chickens. But for egg production only female chickens are suitable.
Worldwide about 2.5 billion chickens annually are killed either by gas or by a machine, which cuts the birds alive.
Oh dear !

I still like eggs.

Great read. We are incorporating more eggs into our daily eating for these same reasons.

Tonight we have a favorite Italian recipe from Lake Como Italy, asparagus grilled and topped with sunny side up fried eggs and topped with shaved Parmesan cheese. Quick, easy, light and tastes great.

Will you post this?

Let's see if I remember it while making it.

@berniesanders will crash the price of Steem

Hmm, should bring back the omelette as a regular lunch option...
