Kolkata advised Dhaka to eliminate dengue
Dengue is rampant across the country. The mosquito-borne disease is now pandemic. Thousands of people are being hospitalized with dengue every day. Dengue kills life. But frustration, resentment, and anxiety among the general public are increasing as there is no effective initiative from the concerned stage of the government.
When hospitals in the country are struggling to cope with dengue patients, two Bengalis specialists and public representatives are united in killing this AIDS mosquito.
Dhaka City Corporation and Kolkata City Corporation officials and public representatives spoke through a video conference at around noon on Monday.
In the discussions, how to raise people to prevent dengue, how to raise public awareness, what are the important initiatives of the government to take?
While presenting some suggestions to Dhaka on dengue killings, Kolkata officials said that the way to prevent dengue mosquitoes in Dhaka is not correct. Thus dengue will not be prevented. Rather, it will increase pollution and make people breathe. And the dengue campaign for political purposes will not work. People have to understand how to prevent dengue, how to keep the environment clean.
Experts in Kolkata believe that the outbreak of Dengue is possible only if the goodwill of the government and the people is done. At the same time, mosquitoes were discovered and killed in Kolkata not only during the monsoon but also throughout the year.
Kolkata City Corporation Health Department adviser. Swapan Mukherjee said about the primary treatment of dengue patients, "Drinking water, besides the juice of the fruit, you have to drink water frequently. It should be noted that the dengue patient is transparent urine after three hours. If you have normal and transparent urine after a certain time, it should be understood that the patient is not as manifest in dengue. Even though he is injured, he is free from risk.
Swapan Mukherjee advised working on it all year, even in winter, to protect people from dengue in the long term, not just in the rainy months.
"Not just in the water, but the mosquito carrying dengue gets eggs when it gets damp," he said to Dhaka officials. Dengue eggs live for three years. And when the water touches the rain, the eggs wake up. As a result, the common people will have to massage mosquito oil or liquid oil in the evening, especially from 8 am to 5 pm. Do not let the dengue mosquito bite. '
"If a patient with dengue has pain in the knee, has a fever, reduces the pressure by 20 percent, the platelet drops below 20,000 or if there are signs of blood loss of 20 to 22 at the waist, then the patient needs to be admitted to the hospital immediately." Swapan Mukherjee added.
Dr. Tapan Kumar Mukherjee, a chief advisor to Kolkata City Corporation, was joined by Kolkata's expert team in the video conference on the Dengue mitigation plan. Monirul Islam, Deputy Health Officer. Subrata Roy Chowdhury and Chief Director Control Officer Dr. Debashish Biswas and Toufiq Hassan, Deputy Embassy of Bangladesh in Kolkata.
