Cannabis and cancer cure.

Dear fellow steamians,

I have recently read an article about a local doctor in my country using cannabis oil to cure cancer. So, this raises my awareness about alternative medicine and cancer cure. I guess there is still a lot of debate concerning the issue which is natural as there are many stakeholders and money involved. If this cannabis oil becomes widely accepted and proven as an alternative cure for cancer and other illnesses, the pharmaceutical industries will suffer a big loss of revenue. On the other hand the traditional industry selling health service may start to buy research reports and get those findings patented so that they will also control this alternative medicine market.

Local people in the southern part of the country can chew another kind of leaves which are related to cannabis plants. They have been chewing these leaves for hundreds of years for maintaining good health. This plant is called "kra tomm" the law allows these people to continue with this because it is a way of life of the local people which is respected by law! So, I guess if a city dweller like me want to try this leave-chewing, I will have to travel to the southern provinces.

This fight between the big pharma-industries and the interest of the people will last as long as the power-that-be has the power to control all officials, politicians, researchers, academics and government apparatus. The world is changing and people in the know are waking up to the fact that they have been played and controlled and conditioned to follow design patterns of behavior and belief systems.
