The treatment for teenagers with antisocial behaviour is a challenge for your society, today a study that review the effectiveness of treatment between multisystemic therapy and conventional support. Multisystemic therapy (MST) ues a team of professionals working the youth, their family, friends, neighbors, and teachers.

This new trial was funded by the Department of Education and the Department of Health. They tracked over 684 families with a troubled child, after 18 months the MST group show that 13 percent were taken into custody compared to the controlled group show 11 percent were taken into custody.

This suggests that MST may not be as effective and shows a sight increased risk of criminal behavior in teenagers. The study, which was published in The Lancet Psychiatry, was led by Professor Peter Fonagy (UCL Psychology & Language Sciences).
