Joining The Medical Virtual Assistant Stimulation Program
Hi guys welcome to my blog today, I'm going to be sharing something unique today. It's been awhile now I share my Virtual Assistant journey on steemit, and I want to drop an update on a training should incase anyone is interested to join the next cohort.
For some months now, I’ve been really looking for a period I will be chance to update my skills and position in the virtual world of healthcare. I remembered I registered for a stimulation class on August/September cohort but I wasn't chance to join any class because of my tight activities during that period.
So I finally consider this month, after readjusting my schedule, I registered for a health care stimulation class this month and next so as to have hands-on practical training that prepares me for more advanced Medical VAs opportunity to provide healthcare support to others ofcourse it is my passion to do so.
Why This Training Interest me
Recently, in healthcare, medical practitioners need trained virtual assistants to support their work smoothly in helping patients to be more comfortable in receiving healthcare at the comfort of their home. It is more economical for both the patient and the practitioner. So affordable, reliable and efficient healthcare is achieved.
So for me, this virtual assistant role serves as an opportunity to build a career path that allows me to contribute meaningfully to healthcare globally, to achieve my passion in healthcare which is helping others regain health, work remotely at the comfort of my home, and grow on a global scale professionally.

A Special Program For Me
It is special for me because I will need to learn some skills I've been craving for some months now and I'm fully prepared to begin. It is a 6-week simulation class and I’ll be actively practicing healthcare tasks, it is huge but I don't want to be panic about it although I'm curious.
The training covers:
- Managing Electronic Health Records (EHR)
- Handling appointment scheduling & patient intake
- Working on insurance verification & billing
- Learning about prior authorizations & pharmacy coordination
- Practicing medical documentation & transcription
- Communicating with patients & supporting remote patient monitoring
Then, every week there will be practical projects to do which will simulate that medical VA tasks specialty that I want and at the end, I will have practical experience to show my skills.
The Journey Preview
Reading up pages of books online on certified foundational courses on HIPAA Compliance taking up the practical and test, it is so broad.
This HIPAA is very necessary, I already have the skill but I just want to update the skill again. Taking care of patients privacy is really necessary and I need to abide by it else I face the law.
Then we dive into live classes, assignments, and a capstone project.
I honestly like good challenge especially when it comes to achieving my goals, so there’s something I’m really looking forward to after this training. It is the 1 Month Job Application Challenge.
I will need to document my journey, create a portfolio with it and then I will use it to join this job search challenge to apply for roles I will specialise on.

Reasons for sharing on steemit
Steemit is my social media blog and as a content creator, I need to share my journey on this page so as to document my lessons, my challenges, and projects done to the final certification.
To create a professional portfolio for my job search as well as advertising my skills to future clients.
Of course I will like to share my skills with my steemians, so I need to train others on the skills learnt and share some basics that they need to know.
Another reason is to inspire someone who is anticipating stepping into this path .
Finally, to unleash that writing skills in me, to build me up for more opportunities that requires telling stories with proof of brain.
