Some Benefits of Avocado and Banana Smoothie

Smoothies can give us an abundance of health benefits and they can be made with numerous fruits and vegetables in order to get a healthy lifestyle. Adding smoothies to your diet helps a lot in long run. However, don’t forget to replace artificial sugar with natural sweeteners such as honey and maple syrup.

Among many awesome smoothies, I would like to share my personal favourite, which I usually consume with breakfast. The smoothie contains a half avocado and full banana with chia seeds and milk.

Benefits of avocado are such a big list. The most important thing is it has monounsaturated fats. It does help your heart and brain. Moreover, the right consumption of avocado boosts your brain. The fruit also contains a good amount of vitamins A, E and K, which helps our body to function properly.

In addition, they have water-soluble vitamins such as B and C. We must keep a track of these vitamins, because the body cannot save these vitamins, which are water-soluble, for the next day. It even helps our hair to grow as it contains a significant amount of trace minerals. And the important thing is it does contain high amount of protein, which is usually not found in many fruits.

Avocados are an excellent source of B-complex vitamins; 1 cup of sliced avocados provides 40 percent of the daily recommended dietary allowance (RDA) of pantothenic acid, 30 percent of the RDA of folate and 29 percent of the RDA of vitamin B6. Benefits of banana include, it promotes and boosts your energy with carbohydrates. It contains a good amount of potassium. You can eat a half of banana to boost much energy to do other works ahead. In addition, this amazing fruit contains a significant amount of fibre that is about 10% of daily-recommended value, which helps you to improve your digestion. The other important element which is manganese is found in this fruit, which helps to improve brain.

However, the important fact to consider is that it does contain high amount of sugar, which is not useful for diabetic patients. Also if we ever want to eat a food that is high in sugar, we must look for the fruit which is also rich in fibre. Fibre is essential to prevent spikes in blood sugar by helping our blood to observe the sugar slowly.

Consuming these two with other ingredients such as milk and chia seeds help to boost your day. So try to have this creamy smoothie once in a while to be healthy.
