Since the human existence, herbal remedies have been used to treat diseases of various kinds. To prolong the knowledge of herbal remedies, they were explained orally from one generation to the next. And today, it is not surprising that herbal remedies have remained part of health solutions. But, why should you care about herbal remedies?

Are They Safe?

The first thing to wisely consider is the safety of herbal remedies. Some people claimed that traditional herbs are safer than modern pharmaceutical drugs. Of course, yes. And are there are times that one form of therapy may be more advantageous?

Of course, herbs are widely regarded as safe. However, caution is still needed when using herbs. do not let your guard down simply because a product is called “natural.” Most users are unaware that some herbs are downright dangerous. Worryingly, some people don’t give any herb—dangerous or benign—the appropriate respect.
There are chemical compounds in herbs that can change heart rate, blood pressure, glucose levels, and more. Hence, if you have previously been diagnosed with cardiac problems, high blood pressure, or blood-sugar disorders such as diabetes, you must be especially cautious.

There are other side effects of herbs which are usually limited to allergic-type reactions. Some of these include headaches, dizziness, nausea, or rash. For some who have taken herbs, they may appear to get worse before getting better. It is believed that this reaction is caused by toxic wastes being removed from the body during the early stages of herbal therapy.
