The Wonderful Power of Reiki

       I am a therapist, I practice acupuncture, magnets, Bach Flowers, Neural Therapy among others, but the therapy that fills my being, my heart, is Reiki ... it seems magical the way it acts.

       Usually in therapies, whether these alternatives or allopath, we apply some physical means to help the patient to regain his harmony and heal. This can be from a lot of substances in allopathic medicine to simple acupuncture needles in Chinese Traditional Medicine, however, with Reiki everything is different and wonderful.

       In Reiki we therapists constitute mere channels of the Universal Vital Energy, we do not use ours as in other systems of hands imposition, we only use our desire to transmit to the patient the wonderful Vital Universal Energy to channel it to the subtle bodies, and channeling to his inner being the healing energy of the Creator. This is the one that actually will restore the patient to his perfect state of health. Of course he must agree to receive it, and it will better if he becomes receptive and being in the best mental disposition to communion with this energy that penetrates everything.

       In Reiki we can impose our hands on different parts of the body, running from head to foot to give a general balance of energy, or we can concentrate only on the part that we consider affected. We can physically touch the patient or we can leave the hands to only a few centimeters of its body, without touching it. But we can, and this is fantastic, be thousands of miles away from the patient and have the same healing effect as if we were in the same room with him.

       Like all discipline, when we begin in Reiki, we are taught to impose our hands in a pattern way and this is good because it gives us a method, a guide, an empathy with the system. We ourselves, as therapists, are sensitized until, with practice, we know exactly what to do and how to transmit that energy. We can sense where the problem is and then let ourselves be guided by our inner Reiki Master in order to channel the Vital Universal Energy to the patient.

       Before we begin the treatment we prepare ourselves, we ask permission and guide to the Creator, the Higher Self and to the Reiki Master to guide our hands, of course, according to our own convictions.

       In Reiki we use various symbols that we impose on ourselves and on the patient. Each of them has a specific purpose, give strength and channel the Universal Energy in a better way.

  What skills or knowledge do we need to practice Reiki?  

        You just only need the desire to learn how to transmit this wonderful Energy. You do not need to have special faculties or specialized knowledge of any kind, you only need the desire in your heart to be able to serve those who need it and require it.

        In order to be able to use the symbols and be a real channel of harmony and healing you must receive the attunements in each degree.

        Teachings are divided in three basic stages or levels. After be tuned in these three levels you may also take another one to become Master Reiki.

        These symbols will be part of you and you can use them in the treatments you give.
