With that said, you can’t carry on with that feeling. You must move on eve if you feel your past life if weighing you down. All you need is an advice to push you out of that pit. 

Side effects on your body?  

Feeling broken and depressed is not being childish, if you think so. In medical terms, it is known as ‘The Sympathetic Nervous System’ or ‘Flight Response’. This happens due to heart seizure. It secretes a number of chemicals that freeze it. Medics will rush you to the hospital to correct this. In severe cases death is the result. 

Outcome of Depression: 

Feeling broken and lost is a part of life. Every human goes through this feeling once in a lifetime. Many people spend the night in a hospital when they feel broken. The healing needed for this emotional breakdown is the same as for an accident.

Actually it’s a feeling as if someone just punched you in the belly real hard. According to professional, when you feel depressed, the same part of your brain reacts when you get physically hurt.   

The second thing you experience is your body weight fluctuating. You either get overweight or tremendously thin. Some turn towards food to distract them selves, others don’t eat at all.  

Depression leads to stress. Your brain releases a hormone known as ‘ Cortisol’. What it does is that your emotional pressure increases sending more blood to your muscles.    

Furthermore, you loose all hope in life. Depression makes you loose your self-confidence. It gets hard to see the purpose of life and you are left with no motivation at all.   

Finally , you want spend time alone. This increases Cortisol level in your blood. Instead you need to increase your dopamine level. This is achievable by hanging out with friends.   

Signs of Depression:

Extreme sadness, illness, stress and reduced work performance are all signs of a broken heart. Knowing these symptoms will help you understand the nature and severity of the illness and will help you move on.     

1. Physical pain    

The very first symptoms include flu, digestion issues, aching bones and a general feeling of sadness take over. Feeling broken takes you through a stressful ride. The hormones that your body produce leads to triggering ‘Flight Response’. According to professionals like Rita Elfros, high amounts of Cortisol can be damaging to the immune system which makes it easier for viruses and diseases to set in.   

2. Low Immunity  

Due to decreased immunity you may feel actual physical pain. You may feel extra aches because of stress.   

3. Anxiety

The feeling of sadness and worry goes hand in hand. If seems as it it’s the end of the world and there’s no solution to your problem. Increased heart rate, shivering and breathlessness can be experienced. Consult a doctor if such feelings hinder you daily life.  

4. Insomnia

The feeling of sleeplessness may take over when you feel depressed. Irresistible thoughts mixed with anxiety leads to lack of sleep. You should visit a doctor if you experience sleeplessness for an extended period of time.   

How to get over your miserable feelings?  

1. Work out   

Most of the people bail out on exercise as an excuse of being depressed. Keep in mind, this might increase your weight due to comfort eating. Start your exercise routine. This will not only stop you from gaining weight but will also make you feel strong emotionally.   

2. Change your surroundings

If a place reminds you of previous incidents that can irritate you and set your mood off. You have to move on to a better life ahead.    

3. Make necessary changes

Bring changes in your life. Positive ones. One that will motivate you. Get an appointment and see a therapist. He can give fresh positive feedback on you current situation. You would have to change yourself and pain goes with it to. Embrace all the small happiness you have and cherish it. Make small changes which pull you back and will push you towards success. Learning a new language can be useful things. It will open up a whole new world for you and will bring many surprising opportunities.     

4. Extend your social circle  

Meeting new people is a good way to release stress and feel better. Stay away from the toxic people who hold you back. Meet people with positive energy and who will actually help you get out of that ditch.    

5. Accept the fact  

Life is always going to be what you predicted. Get rid of what does not work for you. Get rid off all the unpleasant toxic relation that can hold u back including the work environment if you have to.   

6. Let go  

People feel hard to let go because of the feeling of discontent. If you keep on sticking to the painful incidents that took place, it won’t help you. Set your mind that no matter what you have to let go of the past feelings not for other, but for your self.    

7. Health  

Everyone needs time to recover after suck emotional incidents. Take a long vacation, meet family and widening your social circle with help cure you. Take healthy fruit, vegetables etc. Remember you are what you eat.    

8. Value positivity

Giving value to positive comments is sometimes curing. Hearing respectful comments about yourself will motivate you and help you gain self-confidence.    

9. Change your appearance   

Furthermore, try changing your appearance. Get a hair cut or buying new clothes will make you feel better. It will also be a positive impact on your current situation. Change your clothing to get a new perspective of life.  

10. Organize your money 

Keep track of your expenditure. Most problems build up due to deficiency of finances. Living within the resources you have will free you off financial worries.     

Depression is not permanent and with some effort and motivation, it can be cured away.
