Hypertension is a result of the heart being overworked either because there is too much fluid in the body that the heart has to pump, or the vessels responsible for effective pumping have some defects.
So here are some useful tips to help you.

  1. Being overweight narrows the blood vessels and increases the likelihood of overworking the heart.
Remedy: Exercise regularly, avoid sedentary lifestyle, brisk walking would help!

  2. Excessive Salt Intake: Eating too much salt can retain water in the body, and increase the amount of fluid in the body leading to increased work on the heart. The heart will now be pumping more blood than normal leading to increased tension on the blood vessels.
Remedy:Eat less salt and salty foods and don't always add extra salt just to get taste.

  3. Smoking has a negative influence on the heart.
Remedy:stop smoking, and don't say your eighty year old grandad is still smoking and Is not dead yet, you might not be that lucky.

  4. For people who work for long hours sitting In front of a computer, or on a desk signing papers all day without time to stretch. Remedy:exercise is the key, jogging, brisk walking etc is a better option, use your free time wisely.

  5. Eat right, eat healthy food, avoid fatty foods, eat less of junk.

Stay healthy for your generation.
