Our bodies are a complex collection of many biological cycles and systems that can often be difficult to fully understand. The set of defense mechanisms of the body is such a system. They protect us 24 hours a day, seven days a week, in various unfavorable situations. We present 9 fascinating actions that your body makes as defense mechanisms.

Yawning :
The main purpose of shouting is to cool the brain after overheating or overloading.

Sneezing :
Usually, we sneeze when the nasal passages are filled with too many allergens, microbes, dust or other irritating substances. The strangeness is the body's way of getting rid of this "garbage".

Electric shock during sleep:
This refers to that strange feeling when you put yourself in bed to fall asleep and after some time your body is traversed by an electric shock. At this point, all the muscles contract so strongly that you wake up immediately.
This phenomenon results from the fact that when you are on the point of falling asleep, the frequency of breathing decreases rapidly, while the pulse slows down very little and the muscles are relaxed. Amazingly, the brain interprets these evolutions as pre-death. So he's trying to save you, giving you a shock.

Finger wrinkles when you sit in the water :
Wrinkles that appear on the skin when you sit in the water play an important role. This phenomenon is caused by the fact that when the body is confronted with a higher amount of moisture it means that the environment can be slippery. The primary function of goosebumps is to reduce the amount of heat the body loses through the pores of the skin, which then helps us to warm up more easily in unfavorable climatic conditions.

Tears :
Besides acting as protection for the mucous membrane of the eye when foreign objects come into contact with it, tears serve as an instrument of "emotional defence." Scientists believe that in stressful situations, the body creates a new, powerful source of irritation in order to distract the person from the pain he is experiencing at the time.
