Is that CONTAGIOUS?! Keratosis Pilaris aka "Chicken Skin."
Keratosis Pilaris (KP) is more common than you think!
It happens when the body produces a buildup of keratin, plugging up the hair follicle and creating acne-like bumps.
It is found in the arms, buttocks, thighs and sometimes on the sides of your cheeks.
It is also considered an extreme form of dehydration of the skin, which is why keeping the skin nice and moisturized is key.
Sugar scrubs and lotions with Lactic acid are the two ingredients that are most talked about in treating KP.
Here's a picture of my KP progress of 1 week of sugar scrub once a day along with moisturizing twice a day.
