GOODBYE - FOR A WHILE, STEPHEN ...

Stephen Hawking – maybe the only guy on Earth who probably developed the so called ‘cosmic awareness’ – died at the age of 76.

Let me firstly explain the Dr.Bak’s ‘terminus technicus’ regarding the three levels of awareness:

  • animals possess common awareness: the dog and the horse, for example, are aware of the environment and their personal limbs – they know that those are parts of their bodies

  • humans have self-awareness – they are aware of their surroundings (trees, stones, waters etc.) and their bodies, but they are also aware of the fact that they are not only a separate entity, but that they are also separated from everything else in the Universe… that is why man is able to deal with his personal mental states as objects of his awareness and consciousness while the animal is immersed in its awareness as a fish in the water

  • cosmic awareness is so much higher than human self-awareness, as much the latter is on a higher level than the animals' awareness.
The main characteristic of cosmic awareness is that the individual is conscious of Cosmos, that is, about the existence and the order in the Universe. At the same time, intellectual prosperity or enlightenment is also present

Having explained this, I can go back to my point that the late brilliant British theoretical physicist – but he was much more than that: mathematician, cosmologist, astronomer, author and above all – the symbol of the strength of human mind... – Mr.Hawking, was a special person who could not be subsumed under the terminology of earthly standards.

A generally well known fact is that Hawking – together with fellow physicist Roger Penrose – merged Einstein’s theory of relativity with quantum theory to suggest that space and time would begin with the Big Bang and end in black holes. He also discovered that black holes were not just completely black but emit radiation and would likely eventually evaporate and dissapear.

One can find all possible data from the life of Stephen Hawking, as well as the movie ’Theory of Everything’ that was awarded an Oscar for actor Eddie Redmayne in the role of the scientist, who suffered of AMS (amyothropic lateral sclerosis) since the age of 21, when his doctors predicted he only had two more years to live.

That is why I will conclude this text with just another remark:
the Great ’Little Man’ Stephen Hawking died in his home in Cambridge, UK, symbolically – on the World’s Day of the number Pi (π = 3.141592653...), a mathematical constant which is actually celebrated on the day of the birth of the famous scientist Albert Einstein (by the way: who knows whether he'd succeeded in this life if there hadn't been for a Serbian mathematician, Milica Maric, his first wife from Novi Sad, who unselfishly sacrificed her own talent in favor of his career?)

Well, even though Hawking donated the 'Theory of Everything' to the World, it was not enough to earn him the Nobel Prize?!?

Is it possible that he missed someone like Mileva?
Anyway, in my homeland one would say:
"This is how his beans have fallen!"
Or in English: 'As fate would have it'

Stay blessed wherever you go from here, Stephen !
