One thing Harlan and I have in common - we don't so much do demure. I try to take him as an example of how not to go about it.
Even apart from his character, there is so much better SF to read if you're getting around to it.
Yeah, I love SF :> I should try to get back to reading more. It's hard, there's not enough hours in a day, and internet takes up so much time.
But yes, you're right. I probably need to be less concerned about being demure. It's just that growing up a girl from a very traditional asian roots, being demure and pleasant were drilled into my head from a very young age.
