What is the nicest thing you have done that no one knows about?
I was travelling from Indore to Guna by train. It was Amritsar express, and there was no rush. I was in the General coach of the train, sitting at the single window seat. Busy with my book.
Then I saw a little girl, around 10 years old, wearing some dirty cloth and looking filthy. She was trying to sell some paper soap and other stuff. Two aged uncle and aunt were sitting near me. When the girl came and started selling her stuff, they ignored her. She repeated twice and thrice. Then an aunty scolded her that we don't want anything, go away. Then she started to go with a desperate face. Then I called her and bought paper soap, which made her very happy. Then she went away and sat near the door of the train.
I was amazed why she was sitting there, I again called her and offered her a seat in front of me. When she was about to sit, again the aunty shouted on her that why are you sitting here, can't you see there is not enough space to sit. (Actually there was enough space to sit, but she didn't allow her to sit because she was looking filthy. Typical aunty. I can't understand how can someone be so rude with a little girl.) Then I again said her to sit, she looked at me and sat in front of me. Then I started to talk to her, the conversation went like this….
Me : What's your name ?
She : Rani. (Really, She looked like a queen)
Me : Do you go to school.?
She : Yes.
Me : Why are you doing this work ?
She : Summer vacation is going on and my father wants me to do this work, that's why.
Me : Did you eat something ?
She : No.
Me : I gave her my tiffin box. (my mom packed for me but I was not feeling hungry.)
She finished everything with a big smile on her face. The uncle and aunt were looking at me continuously with a weird smile, as if I am committing a big mistake. Then the train stopped and she went away with a big smile on her face. She was looking very happy. I wanted to take a picture of her but I didn’t have a mobile. (I was in class 12th.) It was the most satisfying moment of my life. She was such an angel. I can never forget her face…
