I calculated the current STEEM Haircut price again 🤔

Based on H4LAB, the current STEEM Haircut price is around $0.16. So, I wanted to double check.

In STEEM blockchain, STEEM price is determined by the Internal Median STEEM price which STEEM witnesses submit STEEM seed prices.

Even though the Internal Median STEEM price is $0.16313, the current SBD(STEEM Dollar) debt ratio is about 11%.

SBD starts printing, when the SBD debt ratio is below 10%, which means STEEM price should increase more. Because, SBD is regarded as the debt on STEEM blockchain.

So, the current External STEEM price is $0.153, and the current STEEM supply is 519.2m. Therefore, STEEM marketcap is now $79.4m.

SBD price is regarded $1 on STEEM blockchain. Therefore, SBD marketcap is now $9.4m.

One-tenth of the current STEEM marketcap is more than SBD marketcap.

So, to calculate STEEM Haircut price, let's multiply $9.4m by 10. It's $94m.

Let's divide $94m by the current STEEM supply(519.2m). It's $0.181.

Therefore, when STEEM price crosses $0.181, the STEEM blockchain will start printing SBD for author rewards again.

Last year, STEEM Haircut price was $0.265. But, as SBD was delisted on Upbit exchange, some users converted SBD to STEEM. As the result, STEEM Haircut price has changed.
