New York gun laws render it a dictatorship.

New York has a new gun law; and, this is why Hanlon's razor has been exhausted for me in regard to the other side of this issue.

In New York, it is now a felony to carry a gun on to private property if the owner of the property didn't actively post that guns are welcome.

To contrast this with a sensible state, like Arizona, if I walk into my local butcher shop (which is owned by military veterans), or the Wal-Mart across the street, which I'm gonna do today, neither of those places post anything regarding possessing guns -- I would be legally okay carrying my gun into either of those places. In New York, if Wal-Mart didn't actually post a "guns welcome" sign outside, and I carried my gun, I would be facing more than a year in prison even if the owners of the property didn't care.

Basically, New York is a dictatorship.

Sensible states assume that you have your rights until a private property owner decides that he or she doesn't want to welcome you in. New York assumes that you don't have your rights until a private property owner decides to defy the government and actively endows that right upon you.
