I’m here to tell you about my experience in the “Clean Up Deerfield Beach Pier Event”, Florida, USA, that went down in history!
Estou aqui para contar minha experiência no Evento “Clean Up Deerfield Beach Pier”, Florida, USA que entrou para história!
The purpose of the event was to clean up the bottom of the ocean under the pier in Deerfield Beach and to break the record of divers hand in hand underwater. We broke the record with 241 divers on June 17, 2017 at 11:00 a.m.
Previous records: Thailand – 182 divers on December 27, 2016 and Italy – 173 divers on February 22, 2016.
O objetivo do Evento foi limpar o fundo do mar embaixo do pier de Deerfield Beach e em seguida quebrar o recorde de maior número de mergulhadores de mãos dadas embaixo da água. Quebramos o recorde com 241 mergulhadores dia 17 de Junho de 2017 às 11:00 da manhã.
Records anteriores: Tailândia – 182 mergulhadores em 27 de Dezembro de 2016 e Italia – 173 mergulhadores em 22 de Fevereiro de 2016.

LIVRO DOS RECORDES 2017 - MAIOR CORRENTE HUMANA EMBAIXO D'AGUA - 241 MERGULHADORES!
My number was 119. Meu número foi o 119.
The cleaning of the bottom started early in the morning and all the trash found was placed into buckets that were pulled up by volunteers on top of the pier. We found fishing lines, hooks, paper, plastic, cigarette butts, etc.
A limpeza do fundo do mar começou cedo e todo o lixo encontrado foi colocado dentro de baldes que eram puxados para cima do pier por voluntários. Encontramos linhas de pesca, anzóis, papel, plástico, bitucas de cigarro entre outros.
After cleaning the bottom, all divers prepared for the second dive to break the world record for the largest underwater chain of divers. The organization was exemplary, each diver had a number from 1 to 241. We were divided into small groups of 20 divers, each group had a leader who guided us to the correct places in the water concerning the numerical order. After everyone is in their proper places, we remain holding hands for 1 minute to get into the Guinness New World Record.
Após limparmos o fundo do mar, todos os mergulhadores se preparavam para o segundo mergulho para quebrar o recorde mundial da maior corrente de mergulhadores embaixo da água. A organização foi exemplar, cada mergulhador possuía um número entre 1 e 241. Fomos divididos em pequenos grupos de 20 mergulhadores, cada grupo tinha um líder que nos guiou para o local correto no mar referente à ordem numérica. Depois que todos estavam em seus devidos lugares, permanecemos de mãos dadas por 1 minuto para entrar para o Novo Recorde do Guiness Book.
Being part of this event was one of the most fantastic and exciting experiences I’ve ever done. Being able to make a difference in the world and helping the marine ecosystem, which is so sensitive, is a gift.
Meu número foi o 119. Fazer parte deste evento foi uma das experiências mais fantásticas e emocionantes que eu já participei. Poder fazer a diferença no mundo e ajudar o ecossistema marinho que é tão sensível é uma dádiva.
