I was from a small village in Hebei province of China. Both my parents were farmers when I was young. I love the way they grow various vegetables which seems to be so magic. Life was so poor and simple if you live on farming in China especially you have not a large patch of land. However, I felt so happy at that time. There was a great lack of materials, so lots of things can be your long-expected hope, such as eating meat, wearing beautiful clothes or even buy a pair of badminton. My father was able to afford to buy me a pair of badminton finally after selling out a trailer of vegetables finally.

All vegetables are the hope of life. Even up to now, I still miss the good old days when I saw my parents growing vegetables from the small plot of land. They earned small money and saved nearly a penny to pay my tuition. Now I've graduated from university for many many years and can stay in large cities for city life. I'm able to support myself and my family without having to work with my face to the ground and back to the sky. However, there is an old saying that you should never forget where you were from. So I still have the habit of growing vegetables on the windowsills or on the balcony. The conditions are always limited, but I've tried a lot. And I feel great happiness while doing so.

There are lots of techniques for growing vegetables. Don't think it's an easy thing. You have to consider lots of things, such as the sunshine, fertilizer, pesticides, and water, everything. If you overlook any of these, you can not grow anything sometimes.
