I am Groot. Making a cheap toy look like a Hot Toys figure.

I enjoy taking a figure that has a good sculpt and making it better.
I bought a Walmart Exclusive 11” Groot figure on clearance for $5. It was sculpted really well but due to budgets the company used very little colors. I used the Hot Toys Life Size Groot figure photos as a reference and used Tamiya acrylic paints and went to town. I repainted the head, body and all other details to match the photos. I went a little green crazy on the head because he has lots of moss on his sprout head.
Anyone can do this with the right paints and lots of patience and you can turn a $5 figure into a $200 figure. 9066EF9C-D315-47BD-BD59-8DC452351915.jpegAAAF0417-4D92-43D8-886B-76B5943AE596.jpeg64DAEAC7-EBB5-458E-BDFA-141FB661E19B.jpeg9AECA6F2-E49C-4635-A5CC-A418D2760F66.jpeg634DE0F0-1258-4BF9-BC2A-E14101428773.jpegDA72DBE6-A183-4A59-8250-60D8AB9AE477.jpeg

HEY brother! Glad you are on here now. Sorry we haven’t been able to chat but we can do that this week. Give ya a crash course on this place. Get another post up in the meantime. Try and comment on others works! I’ll explain everything and show you stuff in person.

Thanks man. I could definitely use some help on some topics. Especially how to upload photos from my iPhone to be right side up and not sideways.

Wednesday we will go over the basics.
