AS cm-steem said, in the start either use a pool or buy more GRC or the waiting times for a block will be months.
At 10K you get one about once a day, which is really all you need, since you always get paid the BOINC "mined" GRC in full (up to 6 month).
Do not forget to make one or more external backups of your wallet (and config file for the keys)!
