THE STEEMIT GREETERS GUILD NEWBIE SPOTLIGHT

Volume Five

Now that you have gotten your account authorized to begin using the Steemit platform, you’ve created your first post or two. Starting off on Steemit is no easy task for anyone unless you hit the ground running with a few hundred thousand dollars in your account, which most of us do not. As plankton, we often start thinking to ourselves either ‘'God, what have I gotten myself into?” or you look at your post and think “I must be doing something wrong because only one person gave me an upvote!”. We have all asked ourselves a question or two like this since we started our journey on Steemit, as the struggle to get noticed and grow is real and can be incredibly discouraging.

Well newbies, times have changed and things are now significantly easier for those of you who want to stick it out. You now have some help getting off the ground and now have access to a great initiative that was designed to promote growth within the communities in all areas. With this personal and professional struggle in mind @greetersguild built a writing initiative by the name of The Writer's Guild to help bring recognition and rewards to newbies. Among the projects that this new initiative runs is this exact publication itself! So steem on newbies, you no longer have to stress about getting the helping hand that you need to grow. We at Steemit Greeters Guild are here to aid, teach and bring light to those buried in the dark waters and muck at the bottom of the Steemit ocean.

The first spotlighted newbie is @adrianrafa, who started his journey on Steemit in May of 2018. He is 26 years old from San Juan de los Morros in the beautiful country of Venezuela. His introductory post has a couple of amazing pictures from the city he is from and also includes historical information on the city. You can immediately tell this Steemian has a great sense of humor, just by reading his posts on the platform. For a good giggle and a pleasurable read, please check out his intro post. Please note, you will need to translate this post, but it's well worth the time and effort.

The second new Steemian spotlighted in today's publication is none other than @sams-world. Sam's first post was his introductory post, done a mere 19 days ago, which is when he joined the Steemit community. Impressively he has already gotten his reputation up to 41. He has Swiss heritage and is currently living in the country of Mexico. From what I have come to know by reading his articles, he does one thing that makes him stand out to me as someone who will be successful on this platform. He comments and interacts with all types of people, or for better terminology, spends time curating material on the Steemit platform. His disposition is infectious to be honest, which caused me to reach out to him. Though we haven't had too many conversations, I have enjoyed each one of them. His writing is also incredibly genuine, as it shows off his personality as well as his skills. I am currently waiting for him to show off his artwork to the community. Let us all come together to help him reach his goals. If you don’t believe in synchronicity my friends, now is the time to turn a new leaf. Coincidentally, this newbie's most recent post is asking the questions we at @greetersguild want to give him the answers to!

And last but not least we have the amazing @yettylove. This Steemian created her introductory post just three days ago, making her a brand new member of the community! Just from reading her post, I could immediately say she is a go-getter, but honestly I think the term go-getter is an understatement for this ambitious young lady. She is from the country of Nigeria and currently studying accounting at the University of Lagos. I think we can just let her words speak for themselves here with an excerpt from her post:

My area of interest include giving useful and beneficial information, an aspiring professional writer, a comedian😂, master of ceremony (MC) a jovial person, a teacher, a blogger, a business minded individual, digital marketing, freelancer, content developer.

She joined the Steemit community because she is looking for an outlet to have her ”voice be known to the world.” We all @greetersguild believe that she has come to the right place!

LOL this morning when I was putting it together and had a minor mishap I felt more like COI (chief operating idiot). I had the the moment when the brain says "Sorry honey, you haven't been to sleep yet so I am going to sabotage you' But thank you very much.

@tryskele, I was so happy when I saw this. Thank you so much for the kind words. God, I'm still smiling :D Wanted you to know guys how much I appreciate it, it certainly comes at the right time for me - it has been a bit of a warriors journey here to slowly find my way through the vast sea! :) thank you again so much, just going through the steps of the greeters guild on discord.
