Green tea for the skin
Green tea is not just a drink, but a real beauty elixir!
It is one of the most drunk drinks in the world, especially by women, who have now learned to appreciate its many health benefits.
Green tea is delicious, healthy, inexpensive and an excellent source of antioxidants necessary to prevent cellular aging; these characteristics make green tea a precious ingredient to be used in the preparation of beauty products for our skin.
Here are 5 products to create at home using green tea:
- Facial tonic: Prepare 1 cup of tea and let it cool; add 2-3 drops of preferred essential oil and pour into a small spray bottle. As essential oil you could choose lavender, relaxing and fragrant, suitable for all types of skin; if you have oily skin with pimples and imperfections you could choose to combine green tea with the purifying and astringent properties of tea tree oil; if you have mixed skin, you could opt for essential oil of rosemary or mint. It is a refreshing and energizing tonic, ideal for use in the morning on cleansed skin to awaken and relax the skin. Store it in a refrigerator to enhance the feeling of freshness.
- Face mask: Take two sachets of green tea, open them and remove the powder or use the tea directly in chopped leaves; add the same amount of bicarbonate, 1 teaspoon of honey and mix; If the compound is too solid, add a little water or a few drops of oil suitable for the face, such as rice or jojoba; apply on the face with a brush and leave it for 15 minutes; rinse with fresh water. The skin will be softer and moisturised thanks to honey, purified by bicarbonate and free of redness and irritation due to the soothing and soothing properties of green tea.
- Treatment for bags and dark circles: to deflate bags under the eyes and make dark circles less marked we can use green tea, draining and anti-inflammatory. Do not throw the sachets of tea after use, but squeeze them to remove excess water and put them in the refrigerator; let cool for about an hour or even longer if you can wait and apply them to the eyes, leaving them there for about twenty minutes. If you believe that the sachets are uncomfortable to apply on your eyes, you can immerse two cotton diskettes in the cold green tea, wring them and let them cool down as you did with the sachets. - Bathing salts: For a relaxing bath you can prepare these simple salts with only 3 ingredients. Squeeze an orange and put the juice obtained in a bowl, add about 200 g of Epsom salt or coarse salt, stir well to soften all the salt; if it is too watery add more salt; at this point open 2 sachets of tea and pour the powder into the mixture mixing with a tablespoon to distribute the tea well in the other ingredients. Store the bath salts in a hermetically sealed container. Pour 2 tablespoons of Salts into the bathtub and fill with warm water. - Face and body scrub: A delicate scrub that will give you a soft, smooth and radiant skin. Prepare a cup of tea and let it cool completely, add 2-3 tablespoons of sugar and let it stand for about a minute. If the tea is not completely cold, the sugar will melt and will no longer have a scrubbish effect. Now add 2 teaspoons of honey, stir and add water or a little vegetable oil, suitable for the skin of your face and body, until you reach the desired consistency. Keep in a well-closed glass jar in the refrigerator. Massage it on moist skin for a few minutes with circular movements
