If people can get paid in crypto for contibuting inside a blockchain, why would they loose some time with Wikipedia?

As demonstrated by our joining Steemit, many of us are looking for options other than what have become the internet legacy companies. Now we discover that Wikipedia has joined the ranks of Twitter, YouTube, Facebook, etc? I shall watch for Everipedia's launch, thanks.
