Scripture Passage: 2Corinthians 8:9-24

Meditation: 2Co 8:9 “For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.”

There is a grace that flows from our dear Lord Jesus Christ. Let us examine this a little more.

When Jesus came, his death and resurrection paid for certain things to become ours. He was made sin with our sin. He bore our sins in His own body on the cross, to make righteousness available to us. He took our infirmities and carried our sicknesses, to make healing and health available to us. He became a curse for us, so that we can have the blessing. He died our death, so that we may live His life.

The Scriptures that state the above cannot be truer than 2 Cor. 8: 9, which states clearly that Christ Jesus also took our poverty upon Himself vicariously, in order to make riches available to us. It offends some people’s religious sensibilities to admit this, nonetheless it is true.
Satan wants you to believe that God is not interested, nor concerned about your money. But that is not true. God is so interested in your financial wellbeing that He made His Son Jesus Christ pay a specific price for you to be rich. The full realization of this will unlock in you both the grace of giving and the grace of receiving at the same time.

God loves you. God is concerned about your physical wellbeing. God has made provisions in the covenant for you to be rich. When the truth of all that Jesus has done for you by His death and resurrection become the anchor of your faith, then you will be able to swing free and truly enjoy the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ.
